We drive into Kosovo from Macedonia with Prishtina being our overnight destination for the day. We had to pay for additional insurance at the border as our Green Card insurance did not cover Kosovo. Driving from the border to Prishtina was very smooth. The motorway was very good and there wasn’t much traffic. As a result, we arrived at our destination with ample time to get some food and coffee.
Finding our AirBnb was a challenge though because no one seemed to know what the street names where or how the addressing system worked. It took us almost an hour of roaming up and down the main street to finally spot our host. Our apartment was a small studio on the 5th floor in a block of flats. We were just off the main street which was great as we had a parking spot for the car.
The next morning, after a good night sleep, we did our usual routing by taking a free walking tour. So below are a few tips on how to spend a day in Kosovo.
